The peninsula is one of my favorite places in all of Iceland, and this guest house has a great location, great food, and the people will help you with a box lunch. The location and views are amazing. When I arrived, I watched the sunset from my room's balcony. Dinner was delicious. I absolutely loved the breakfast, where almost everything was fresh and homemade. The staff was friendly in a way that seemed really genuine. All of the staff were incredible and even gave us some fantastic recommendations. The room was also great and quite with an impeccable view and awesome bird watching! Karl21:09 13 Aug 19In their website it states that the restaurant is open from 12:00 to 21:00. We drove all the way there from the other side of the peninsula because we were recommended this place. We arrived about 16:00, sadly we were told that we couldn't get food until 18:00. The restaurant looks nice, staff is friendly but the administration could be more considerate, at least keep the information on their website up to date. We had a delicious meal with fresh caught fish, and also a great conversation with a local gentleman who gave us a bit of history + modern day politics. The hotel was very accommodating to my camping requests. The amenities are limited but there is covered kitchen area protected from the wind and a tea kettle. I had to leave because my stove was inoperative and I drove to another campsite with a kitchen. This was not crowded. I was the only camper at the site. I isn’t need a shower because I swam and showered at the pool. No scrumbled eggs, no good bread, don‘t know what to eat! The room heats up enormous at sunshine and to cool down we had to open that tiny window and the room door for two hours. When taking a shower you flood the whole bathroom. What a stupid construction!read more Marcos Romero20:32 22 May 19The rooms are a surprise, very clean and modern, great spacious room. No tv but you should be tired from the day. Take walk to beach very close. Restaurant in Hotel has great food. Very much a family feel. You can also use campsites if you are in camping vehicle. Take the suite with sea views and you will see the most amazing colors. Very nice and cost hotel. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating. Would recommend without a doubt. 5 minutes away from the sea colony. The food is also very good.read moreAwards
