The restaurant view has windows all around so you are able to gaze out at the mountains on one side, and the seaside on the other. The food was incredible. I had their famous fish soup, which is famous for a reason. It was incredible! A friend got their fish stew and it was also great. You can’t go wrong here!

We had an exceptional stay at Langaholt Guesthouse, which is about a 2 Hour drive from Reykjavík located along the west coast. The Guesthouse is so picturesque of Iceland and is sits a few hundred meters from the ocean. It even has an associated nine hole golf course. The facility is outstanding with all modern conveniences. It is very well constructed and of first-rate quality. The owners and house staff are extremely courteous and polite and will go well beyond the call of duty to make your stay a perfect one. The food was absolutely outrageous. Chef Oscar is so skilled, talented, and creative. His dishes were a true art form in motion ... a gourmet masterpiece made with local fish, lamb, and produce not deviating from traditional fare. For an outstanding stay and taste of Iceland stay at Langaholt Guesthouse.

We booked a last minute stay based on a northern lights forecast. When we realized that their restaurant closed at 8pm, which is the exact time we were due in, we called ahead to tell them we were on our way. THEY STAYED OPEN FOR US!!! They were so kind, the food was amazing, and the wine was delicious!! (5 people in our group and we all agreed!) It’s a family owned hotel, which is nice to see. The hotel itself is quaint and clean. The rooms were well appointed and up to date (brand new bathrooms, furniture, etc).Don’t come here to stay in your room and watch tv (there aren’t any)...go out and explore the beach, golf, or lay on a dune at midnight and watch the sky!! 5 happy travelers!!
